Letterpress Winter Christmas Card

Hello there, today I have a cute Christmas Card to share with you which is quick and easy to make.
You could easily make quite a few in one sitting.

If you know me, you'll know I love Washi Tape. It offers another arm of creating and here I've used it to frame my centre piece.

Style Info

  • The Washi Tape is from All Is Calm Designer Washi Tape Collection, which has 5 rolls of different patterns, colours and sized rolls. On this card the Washi Tape is the strip of green with white triangles on it, and the silver strip at the top of the card.
  • The tree in the middle is a die from the Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies Set, and die cut from All Is Calm Specialty Designer Series Papers.
  • The Silver Banner is also a die and is from the same Die Set as the Tree, which is the Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies Set
  • The stamped Snowflake circle in the middle co-ordinates with the 2" Circle Punch OR the Circle Dies Set, which is what i used as I don't have the Punch. So it gives you two options there.

Style Tip:

  • What I love about Stampin Up! is that they co-ordinate everything for you which saves loads of time! To create this card I used their co-ordinating products and colours from page 21 and 22 of the Holiday Catalogue to speed things up for me!

Hope you've enjoyed this card. Happy Creating! Angeliki :)

Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies Flip Card

As promised yesterday, here's another card I made with the Snowflake Card Thinlits Die. This one is an extended version of the card I posted yesterday.

The photo below is the card closed and is the front of the card. It didn't need the ribbon to keep it closed, I just thought it was a nice touch! And any excuse to use pretty ribbon & the Snowflake metal embellishments - I love them!
The photo below shows the extension part of the card and is the rectangle on the right of the card. It offers a good place to write your sentiment.
The photo below is the left hand panel of the card opened out. By pulling and closing this panel, it creates the flip card effect.

I love the 'Noel' die which is from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies, which I die cut in Brushed Gold Card Stock, which is in the Annual Catalogue.
  • I just like to mention the different Catalogues if I've used products from two different ones because it can be so frustrating looking and looking thinking 'where'd she get that from?!'
Hope you like this card! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask in the comments section at the bottom of this post and I will get back to you ASAP!

Or just leave a 'nice' comment if you like the card, I'd love to hear from you!

Snowflake Flip Card & Letterpress Winter Stamp Set

In a recent post I said I would post some of my cards using Stampin' Up!'s Snowflake Flip Card Thinlits Dies, so I have one of those to share today.

It's so easy to create with this Die Set and I've teamed it up with the co-ordinating Stamp Set 'Letterpress Winter', the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder,  & All is Calm Designer Washi Tape, to get a pretty card in zero time!

Soooo Easy To Create This Card!

  • The Die cuts and scores everything for you! All you have to do is fold on the score lines and your flip card base is done!
  • Because the stamp set is Photopolymer, it's really easy to stamp the snowflake on the die cut snowflake because you can see right through it, so really easy to match up!
  • If you've been to my Pinterest Site you'll know I love Washi Tape. I love it because it gives you more creative scope in an easy fashion. Here I've used All Is Calm Designer Washi Tape for the decorative patterns on the front of the card.
It's quite hard photographing a flip card but hopefully you'll get the drift with these photos. The photo above is the card closed & the photo below is it standing open.
The Northern Flurry Embossing Folder is in Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalogue just in case you're searching the Holiday Catalogue and can't find it!
I love the words in this Die Set and I've die cut them in 'Silver Glimmer Paper'.
This was just a fun card to make and I hope you'll give it a try!

Hope you've enjoyed today's card and I will post another card tomorrow using the Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies.
Have a great day! :)

10 Christmas & Non-Christmas Cards w Filigree Embossing Folder - No. 6

Now that we're into November Christmas will be upon us pretty quickly. And I'm glad to say that I  have actually done some of my present buying already! Still a way to go on my cards tho!

Speaking of Cards, here's Number 6 in my series of '10 Christmas and Non-Christmas Cards with Stampin' Up! Filigree Embossing Folder.'

# 6 Christmas Card

I was really happy with how this card turned out and we're making it as part of my Christmas Card Buffet Class on 22 November.

The backing paper is from the Gold Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack. It's not actually a Christmas paper pack so it's in the Annual Catalogue, but it matches perfectly for what I wanted here. And it shows that your papers can be used for any occasion!

I wanted to keep the card predominantly gold and silver, and I love the gold subtly peeking through from the paper, which highlights the other gold elements of the card without imposing upon it.

And I love the little splash of red the die cut 'Joy' in Red Glimmer Paper brings, which ties the whole card together. The Snowflakes and Joy dies are from the Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies which makes a flip card too which is very 'cool'!!, and I'll post some of my cards made with that very soon.

Here's a List of the Stampin' Up! Products I used to Create this Card

Stamp Set: Letterpress Winter
Ink Pads: Versamarker
Card Stock: Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White, Brushed Gold, Red Glimmer Paper.
Papers: Gold Soiree.
Accessories: Gold Bakers Twine, Rhinestones.
Tools: Heat Gun, Gold & Silver Embossing Powders, Big Shot, Filigree Embossing Folder, Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies

Now for #6 Non-Christmas Card.

Here I've used elements from the All-Inclusive Card Kit - Everyday Occasions.

I've taken one of Stampin' Up!'s ideas from the included colour Brochure in the kit, and just added it to the Filigree Embossing Folder. This card was really quick, easy and fun to create and ended with a striking result!

This kit is fantastic! To start with, I just loved the Stamp Set, so it was sold to me from word go, But honestly, I think this kit is incredible Value. You get a 7 piece Stamp Set which would have to be worth at least $30, then all the added components to make 20 Beautiful Cards with Envelopes!

See an up close photo of the Kit in the Annual Catalogue on Page 23, and then Pg 196 to view all the Components.

So lets Profile the Everyday Occasions Kit - Up Close & Personal!

  • It includes Full-Colour Photos of all 20 cards and includes Tips & Tricks to help you along the way.
  • You don't need to add anything so it's great for a Gift too! All the Stamps and Ink Spots along with Clear Mount Block are included!
  • Comes in a Storable, Giftable Box! Great for Christmas present!
  • Great for yourself when you need a quick card, or struggling for inspiration!
  • Really fun and exciting opening the box and pulling all the bits and pieces out!
  • A new arm to your creativity - I really enjoyed creating this way!

So Here's what's Included in the Kit.

10 Christmas and Non-Christmas Cards using Filigree Embossing Folder

We're half way there with my special series of cards with Stampin' Up! Filigree Embossing Folder ..... Mmm ....... might have been a bit over zealous! We'll see!

I've done both cards today with the 'Marker to Stamp' Technique. There's a little explanation further down on how to do this. This technique really adds more life to your images, and is fun and easy!

Here's # 5 Christmas Card.

I have really loved creating with this stamp set "White Christmas", and I've just received my All Is Calm Snowflake Embellishments and Washi Tape, so couldn't wait to include them!

Style Tips

  • I've used 'Marker to Stamp' Technique on the Trees, which is simply colouring your image with Stampin' Write Markers directly onto the stamp. For full details, type 'Marker to Stamp Technique' in my search box and it will come up. Ive used Soft Suede for the Trunks, Wild Wasabi for Tree Branches, and Soft Sky on the Ice Mound.
  • I've sponged Pool Party on the Snow Mound and softly throughout the background. Then sponged So Saffron through the trees as if sunlight is shinning through them.
  • I've used my Two-Way Glue Pen to adhere the Glitter.
  • I stamp the Polar Bear in Sky Blue and then cut out with my Paper Snips.
  • I adhered the Snowflake Embellishment with a Glue Dot. These are great, strong and multi uses, like for Bows.

Here's A List of the Stampin' Up! Products I used to Create this Card.

Stamp Sets: White Christmas, Good Greetings
Card Stock: Whisper White, Real Red, Brushed Gold, Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper
Ink Pads: Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, Smoky Slate, So Saffron, Pool Party
Stampin' Write Markers: Soft Suede, Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky
Accessories: All Is Calm Snowflake Embellishments & Washi Tape, Real Red 3/8" Satin Woven Ribbon, Linen Thread.
Tools: Big Shot, Filigree Embossing Folder, Modern Label Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Paper Snips.
Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Double Sided Tape, Dimensionals, Glue Dots.

Here's # 5 Non-Christmas Card.

Well, I'm a flower girl, so there's no denying that this stamp was a must have for me! I love it!
I also love the Sequins! They give a magicness (don't know if that's a word - magicness!) to the card and bring it to life. This card was quite quick to create too!

I couldn't decide whether to keep the Butterfly in or not, so will show you both cards. Which one do you like best - With or Without Butterfly? Just leave your answer in the Comments Box at the end of this post.

Style Tips:

  • I glued the Sequins down with Multipurpose Liquid Glue - To do this, put a small spot of glue on the card stock, then holding the sequin with tweezers, lay it on the glue. Also holding Stampin' Up! Adhesive Pearl with tweezers, place in the centre of the sequin.
  • To frame the Greeting, punch Pear Pizzazz Card Stock with Scallop Oval, cut in half long ways, adhere both half's with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Here's A List of the Stampin' Up! Products I used to Create this Card.

Stamp Sets: Hey There Buds, Flower Patch (for the Greeting)
Card Stock: Whisper White, Calypso Coral (Card Base)
Ink Pad: Pear Pizzazz
Stampin' Write Markers: Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Calypso Coral Seam Binding, 2013-2015 In Colour Sequin Assortment, Pearl Basic Jewels.
Tools: Big Shot, Filigree Embossing Folder, Scallop Oval Punch.
Adhesives: Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals, Double Sided Tape.

Well that's it from me for today. I hope you enjoy the Cards! :)
