Watercolour Wishes Card Kit

I have a Christmas Card to share with you today and two more cards that I've made from the Watercolour Wishes Card Kit.

First, the Christmas Card.

My Style Info

What I really love about Stampin' Up! is that they do the hard work for you - They Coordinate everything! Stamps, Papers, Colours, Ribbons, even cardstock, all coordinated! And I just love the scene these gorgeous products allow us to make;
  • I'd been hoping for a window die to come along our way and it certainly hasn't disappointed! Die cut here from Silver Foil Sheets and is from Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies.
  • The stamped trees in the window frame are from the Wonderland Stamp Set, which I've embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder to create snow. I adhered that piece onto the back of the Silver Foil Window Frame. And then placed a piece of Doily up the top for the curtain - how cute I have to say!
  • The Foil trees really set this card off and are Punched out with the Tree Punch. I've adhered the Sequins with Multi Purposed Liquid Glue.
    • My Hot Tip: Hold the Sequins with tweezers, put a dot of glue on the back then place where desired - No mess, No Sticky Fingers, No fuss!
  • How cute is the Cat sitting on the window sill! Stamped then Die cut from Festive Fireside Bundle.
  • And the Paper - Glamorous! Printed with metallic ink.
    • Winter Wonderland Speciality Designer Series Paper - My Favourite Christmas paper this year!
  • And of course, the Glitter Ribbon - Sparkly and soft!

Don't forget this weeks Weekly Deals as there's two Christmas Stamp Sets on sale and will go back to normal retail price this Wednesday.

Christmas with Lighthearted Leaves

I may have mentioned I absolutely love Stampin' Up!'s Lighthearted Leaves Stamp Set before, but now I really, really love it!! Look how versatile - A Christmas Card!!

And it still fits in with my quest for Simple & Pretty!

My Style Info
  • This card literally took me 10 minutes to make.
  • 'Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum' provides the perfect backdrop which I adhered straight onto my Cucumber Crush base card.
  • How cute are those trees! Stamped 3 times in Cucumber Crush then die cut and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • I love the font and petite-ness of the sentiment which I stamped in Metallic Gold Ink & punched with Word Window.
  • I'm a big fan of all Stampin' Up!'s Wooden Elements & these Snowflakes are no exception. They add texture and give an organic feel and tie in perfectly with the vellum. I adhered it with a glue dot.
  • Then all that was left to add was the gorgeous 'Iced Rhinestone Embellishments' which give the right amount of Christmas Bling! I never tire of these. I'm up to my fourth pack!!

So, Gorgeous & Stylish with Christmas Sparkle in 10 minutes! Gotta love that!!!!
Imagine how many you could knock over in a night & have your family & friends all wrapped up for Christmas in a cinch!

Happy Birthday w Lighthearted Leaves

Ok, I am totally addicted to Stampin' Up!'s Lighthearted Leaves Stamp Set!

I'm really happy with this card! I love the smooth look of the 'Inlaid' Technique & the 'Quick Colouring' Technique for fast and stress free colouring.

  My Style Info

  • You might be thinking this card doesn't look too simple because of the intricate colouring-in, but it is!
    • The trick is to Heat Emboss the Leaf image with White Embossing Powder, and then colour in using Stampin' Write Markers.
    • The embossing keeps the colour within the designated lines and does not let it bleed into the next space.
    • Colour won't stick to the embossed lines either. If you do get ink on the lines, just wipe away with paper towel or tissue.
  • If the Leaf was stamped in ink, permanent or not, it would be really hard to avoid colour bleeding into the next space and obliterate the outlines, therefore I know for myself, I would avoid it!
    • So this is an easy solution to cut away the stress and still get a pretty hand coloured colourful image!

  • I've 'Inlaid' the leaves - Here's How.
    • Die cut both leaves from your covering Whisper White Card Piece, then emboss with the 'Wonderland' Embossing Folder.
    • Wrap with Crushed Curry Twine, fixing it at the back.
    • Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue adhere straight onto the card base.
    • Use glue again to fix the Leaves in place.

  • I looove that Lighthearted Leaves has matching Dies - Leaflets Framelits; that equals NO hand cutting; and they are a must for this Technique.
  • The Leaflets Framelits Dies also match with 'Vintage Leaves' Stamp Set and is available as a Bundle so you'll save 15%! (Annual Cat' Pg. 88).
    • I've used the Vintage Leaves Bundle on my card a few posts before this one.
